The Parietal lobes are the portion of the brain that process spatial information, temporal information naming and recognition.

Decreased activity in the right parietal lobe is linked to the experience of transcendence. This area normal interacts with the sense in things such as orienting yourself in the space around you. Scientific American Dec 2008

When the right parietal lobe is damaged, the person often experiences distortions and problems with body image with strong denials to anyone who challenges the distortions. This area of the brain is seen as the area that figures out the "cause" of a feeling of anxiety.
